Hey all,

I started listening to podcasts spring of 2010 when my friend Derek would drive me to and from school or we’d hang out. I always hated AM radio and the shows he listened to were really funny so it was a totally different thing. He listened to the Roosterteeth podcast (Which I think was the Drunk Tank at the time) and after a week or so I figured out how to download it for myself because I wanted to listen to episodes front to back instead of 20 minutes at a time.

I was hooked from day one and I started finding more and more shows to listen to. It was a good way to spend my time and there were a lot of people doing really funny stuff and releasing it for free so of course that would be right up my alley at 15 years old with no disposable income.

I started The Adam Sandcast on January 20th 2015 and am just about to wrap it up as well as hosting Cynical Cartoons, which I think is 10 times better. Around July, I started editing freelance and worked on the Reddit podcast: Upvoted. Now I’ve been working on The What’s Trending podcast for almost 5 months.

I got the episode for this week with no idea who the guest was, loaded it into audacity and the first people that started talking were Burnie Burns and Gavin Free from Roosterteeth. I’m editing the episode now but it’s just such a surreal experience to have come full circle like this.

The episode of What’s Trending will be up tonight and you should definitely give it a listen. I’m so happy for all the opportunities I’ve been given and want to thank everyone who’s helped me on this journey so far from guests to employers and especially those who’ve listened. This is obviously just a blatant brag post but it’s something that I’m so happy to continue doing and I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings.
